Juniors Learn to Row

  • Six weeks of sweep rowing instruction for those without previous rowing experience.
  • Open to ages 11 to 19, middle school students to rising college freshmen.
  • Fee: $250 rower/$100 coxswain ($200/$80 with Hooksett/Pembroke discount) Class size limited to 20 rowers
  • Dates: week of 6/27/08 Ends 8/8/08; no class July 4th
  • Time: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, 5:45 to 7:45 AM

Masters Learn to Row

  • Several weeks of sweep rowing instruction followed by an introduction to sculling. For those without previous rowing experience or those with minimal experience who wish a reintroduction to the sport. Those with no prior rowing experience must take the full 6 weeks. Sweep rowers with fairly recent experience looking to learn to scull may take the last 4 weeks only, with approval. If applying for 4 weeks only, send summary of rowing experience to Nancy at justflowers@comcast.net before submitting application for approval
  • Open to ages 18 and up.
  • Fee: $250 rower (6 weeks)/ $200 rower (4 weeks)/$100 coxswain ($200/$160/$80 with Hooksett/Pembroke discount). Class size limited to 18.
  • Dates: Start Friday 6/27/08; End 8/8/08, no class July 4th.
  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, 5:30 to 7:30 AM
  • Prerequisite: Swimming proficiency, application, liability waiver and fee payment in advance.
  • Masters completing the Learn to Row Program and wishing to join the ARC as full members may pay $100/individual or $150/family for the rest of the season.

Junior Competitive Sweep Teams

  • Six week program focusing on establishing and maintaining conditioning, increasing technical proficiency, and gaining racing experience.
  • Open to experienced High School(older rowers may participate, but may be excluded from racing in regattas due to age restrictions on categories).
  • Fee: $325/$100 coxswain:includes regatta entry fee and ARC "T" shirt ($260/$80 withHooksett/Pembroke resident discount.) Class Size limited to 20 rowers
  • Sweeps and Sculls Regatta, Saturday, July 26, 2008, Naragansett, Rhode Island. All participants are expected to attend in fairness to their team members.
  • ARC Club Programs breakfast and race August 2, 2008
