THE FOLLOWING APPLY TO ALL PROGRAMS
- In each program description there are links to the application and liability waiver forms that you can print off this website that must be returned with payment. Sorry, but we do not have the ability to accept online applications or payments.
- Enrollment in each program will be limited to a maximum number of participants which is set in the sole discretion of ARC.
- ARC reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet minimum enrollment which is set in the sole discretion of ARC.
- Applications will be accepted in the order postmarked. If any applications are insufficent or must be denied due to the class being full or underscribed, they will be returned by mail as soon as possible.
- Alternatively, ARC reserves the right to combine any class with another class, such as junior learn to row with adult learn to row, if the classes are undersubscribed.
- All applicants must certify that they meet the following minimum swimming proficiency:
- Able to swim 50 yards continuously, any stroke
- Tread water for 5 minutes
- Put on a life preserver while in the water
If you have any questions concerning your ability to meet these requirements we suggest that you go to any public pool and ask a lifeguard to watch while you perform these functions. ARC does not perform a swim test but relies on your verification that you are capable of meeting these requirements.
- In cooperation with ARC, The Town of Hooksett administers a program under which a limited amount of financial aid might be available for Hooksett residents to assist in meeting the cost of ARC summer programs. Funding of scholarships under this program is at the Town’s option in any instance. ARC has not yet received details on how the town will receive, process and grant requests for this money. We will post more information here when it becomes available.
In the meantime, if you are a Hooksett resident in need of such assistance, please contact the Town of Hooksett Parks and Recreation Department at 485-5322 or the Town Administrator at 485-8472. Tell them you are a Hooksett resident inquiring about the current availability of learn-to-row scholarship funding under the “User Fee” provisions of the Town’s agreement with the Amoskeag Rowing Club. This process might take some time so start early if you are interested in this option.
If you do apply to the town for scholarship assistance as indicated above, please also fill out and submit the following to the ARC programs director as you normally would.- Program application
- Liability waiver
- A copy of your request to the town
